OUR EDUCATIONAL MISSION IS HELPING CHANGE THE FUTURE
Program Structure
The SAS program is facilitated by local Mexican staff made up of seven tutors under the direction of Susy Rios Quintanilla. Our staff monitors the progress of each child, ensuring that school enrollment fees are paid and that each child receives the necessary materials and uniforms. Students are enrolled in local schools and our staff works closely with teachers and parents to ensure that each student receives the support he or she needs to be successful.
Missions Ministries operates an after-school program at our two libraries Monday-Friday. The libraries provide tutoring, guidance, and enrichment activities to any students in the community who wish to participate. As a student in the SAS program, your sponsored child will be required to attend a Missions Ministries library at least once a week for accountability purposes. Many of our students choose to attend more regularly to participate in computer classes, English classes, or to receive extra help with school assignments.
